Why we miss so much by trying so hard to always be right

I first stumbled upon the realization that I was a product of the industrial revolution when I read The Element by Ken Robinson. Genius work, by the way.

It turns out we were taught since birth by a system that was designed to feed the machine of industrialism that we need to do things exactly as we are told or else.

So we do, are afraid to be wrong. Wrong is the worst thing you can be. We end up addicted to the idea of fitting in and the worst thing about it is that this era, where you go further by fitting in is over. So on top of being are unnatural thing to do it doesn't even get you very far.

Anyway, since I became aware of this I can catch myself being afraid of being wrong and talk myself out of that irrational Matrix- like fear.

I say all of this to introduce a great talk by Kathryn Shultz «On Being Wrong». I promise it will be worth your 18 minutes.

Let me know what you think about it...
